Neil Simon Theatre Accessibility Policy

Policy for our Patrons with Disabilities:

Specially priced tickets are available for patrons in wheelchairs. As a courtesy, patrons in wheelchairs are permitted to purchase one additional ticket for his or her companion. Wheelchair and companion seats are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis at the theatre box office or by calling 212.757.8646. Please be sure to inform the Box Office representative of your seating needs when purchasing tickets. The Neil Simon Theatre does not have escalators or elevators.

Wheelchair Accessible Restroom:

The Neil Simon Theatre is equipped with one wheelchair accessible restroom on the Orchestra level (house left), as well as wide stalls in the male and female restrooms.

Seat Accessibility:
There are designated wheelchair and companions seats to the rear of the orchestra section. These locations are the ONLY ones that do not involve steps. (See seating chart.)

Services for our Patrons with Disabilities:
Theatre representatives are available to meet patrons with disabilities in the lobby of the building to escort them to designated wheelchair accessible areas.

Policy on Guide Dogs and Service Animals:
Although animals are not permitted in the theatre, an exception is made for guide dogs and service animals. Please inform your ticket sales representative if any accommodations are required.

Sound Enhancement:
Infrared headsets for sound augmentation are available at the theatre, free of charge. Photo identification is required as a deposit. The device will be waiting for you at the Sound Associates Infrared kiosk inside the theatre on the day/night of the show.

Audio Described/Captioned/Signed Performances:
The Neil Simon provides theĀ D-Scriptive audio description service for our patrons who are blind or low-vision, imparting a detailed account of all the visual aspects of the production as well as Playbill information and a full pre-show program. The theatre also offers I-Caption hand-held devices that provide captioning for deaf or hard of hearing patrons. Both services are free of charge. Photo identification is required as a deposit. The device will be waiting for you at the Sound Associates Infrared kiosk inside the theatre on the day/night of the show. This service will be available daily beginning June 8, 2011.
