Khazem, Taous Claire

Performer and playwright, Taous Claire Khazem (performer, playwright) trained at the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School in Paris, France and is a graduate of Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She has presented Tizi Ouzou in St. Paul, Seattle, Portland, and Alexandria, Egypt. This spring Tizi Ouzou will be presented in Oran, Algeria. In Minneapolis Taous has performed with Frank Theater and Off Leash Area Performance Works. She directed A Lion’s Tale: Somali Folktales for SteppingStone Theatre, where she was also the Education Coordinator. During the summer of 2008 she directed The Kabyle Folktale Theatre Project in Bejaia, Algeria. Currently she is teaching and creating theatre in Oran, Algeria.
