Khoury, Jamil

With a bachelor’s degree and certificate in Contemporary Arab Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Chicago Divinity School, Jamil Khoury has lived and worked in the Middle East, is conversant in Arabic and has studied Hebrew and Spanish.  He is co-founder (with his life partner, Malik Gillani) and Artistic Director of Silk Road Company Productions in Chicago.  Khoury’s play PRECIOUS STONES was premiered at Silk Road in 2003 and went on a college tour.  Khoury is one of several authors of THE DNA TRAIL, set for Silk Road production in 2009.
