Zohar Tirosh has written, performed and directed in Tel Aviv, Berlin and in the U.S. Her one-woman show Pieces was produced at the Blue Heron Theatre in New York and at New Repertory Theatre in Boston along side My Name is Rachel Corrie. She is currently working on the screen adaptation of Pieces and on her new play, Six which will be directed by Ian Morgan at the Cape Cod Theatre Project this summer and will receive further development by the Magic Theatre later this year. Her play, This Bloody Mess was developed by Lincoln Center Theater’s Directors Lab and was a finalist for the Bay Area Playwrights’ Festival. Ms Tirosh’s other plays have been developed and produced by: Rising Phoenix Rep, The Lark Play Development Center, The Plum Theatre Company, The Brick, Columbia University and HERE. She has worked with the Itim Ensemble in Tel Aviv (Under Rina Yerushalmi), the Bellevue Theater in Berlin and Baltimore’s Centerstage. Her play, Land, Holy was a finalist for the Public Theater’s Arab-Israeli Festival and her translation of Hanoch Levin’s Those Who Walk in the Dark will be published in an anthology of Israeli plays by Seagull Press. She hosted and produced the Israeli-Palestinian THAW 24/7 Against the War event and received a grant from The National Foundation for Jewish Culture. Ms. Tirosh is a graduate of The Circle in the Square Theatre School and Columbia University.
